Information about fraud committed by a construction company against customers who purchased houses has spread on social media. Upl.uz reported this.
The official website of the Tashkent city police department provided a comment on this situation. On August 11, 2021, a citizen named T.Nodir and several other individuals established "STRONG CITIES" LLC.
After the company was registered, they attempted to gain the trust of several citizens without obtaining the necessary documents and without registering with the regional inspection authority. T.Nodir and his partners promised to build a multi-story building on Usta Olim Street in the Almazar district and sell apartments in it.
Additionally, they fraudulently obtained large sums of money from citizens based on contracts during 2023-2024, but did not open a separate bank account. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 168, Part 4, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (large-scale fraud) regarding this situation.
Preventive measures have been applied against T.Nodir. Investigations by official authorities are ongoing regarding this case.
Citizens are advised to act cautiously when encountering such situations.
