According to the press service of the capital's city police department, the person who committed the theft has been apprehended. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Information came from a store located on Choshtepa Street in the Sergeli district, which had previously been placed under security surveillance. Upon arriving at the scene, police officers determined that an unknown individual had worn a t-shirt on their head and concealed their face from video surveillance cameras.
They broke the cover on the roof of the store to enter and attempted to escape with 300 boxes of cigarettes. The police acted quickly and managed to apprehend the criminal.
The store owner noted that his store had been robbed several times before, but after the security system was installed, the criminal was quickly caught. A criminal case has been initiated under the article "Theft" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding this incident.
