On July 16, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved the concept for further improvement of the internal control system in republican and local executive authorities for the years 2025–2027 with decision No. 446. This was reported by Upl.uz.
The press service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced this. The adopted concept defines the priority directions, tasks of the internal control system, as well as its medium and long-term development stages.
The concept outlines five main directions of internal control: forming a unified system of the control environment; effectively implementing a risk management system; increasing the efficiency of control processes; improving the information and communication system; and continuously monitoring the internal control system and strengthening accountability. To achieve these goals, the concept includes the following key mechanisms: improving the legislative framework for the purpose of standardization in organizing the internal control system; further developing the internal control system; and developing the training, retraining, and qualification enhancement system for employees.
The approval of this concept is considered an important step towards forming modern, open, and effective state governance bodies in Uzbekistan
