Ramadan calendar for 2025 — suhoor and iftar times, prayers
Ramadan calendar for 2025 — suhoor and iftar times, prayers
The Muslim Board of Uzbekistan has announced that the month of Ramadan will begin on March 11, 2024, in Uzbekistan. “Scholars of Turkic states have come to a consensus based on jurisprudential rules, astronomical calculations, and observations that the first day of Ramadan in the Hijri year 1445 corresponds to March 11, 2024, Monday,” the report states. Pre-dawn prayer — Navaytu an asuma sovma shahri ramazona minal fajri ilal mag‘ribi, xolisan lillahi ta’ala. Allohu akbar. Meaning: I intend to fast during the month of Ramadan from dawn until sunset. Sincerely for Allah, Allah is the Greatest. Iftar prayer — Allohumma laka sumtu va bika amantu va a’layka tavakkaltu va a’la rizqika aftartu, fag‘firli ya g‘offaru ma qoddamtu va ma axxortu. Meaning: O Allah, I have fasted this Ramadan for You, I have believed in You, I have relied on You, and I have broken my fast with the sustenance You have provided. O Most Merciful of the merciful, forgive my previous and subsequent sins. The month of Ramadan is considered a sacred month for Muslims. During this time, all believers are obliged to perform more tarawih prayers and recite the Qur'an. According to hadiths, sins are forgiven in this month, even mercy is shown to enemies, and sinners are freed from hell. For Muslims, the month of Ramadan is a time of solidarity, compassion, and forgiving each other's mistakes and shortcomings. During Ramadan, Muslims engage in more charitable acts and unite in this endeavor, supporting one another, which has become a good tradition over the years. In this month, the elderly are visited, the sick are inquired about, help is provided to the needy, condolences are offered to those in distress, and orphans are comforted and cared for. One of the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan is the Night of Decree (Qadr). According to hadiths, if you spend this blessed night in worship and prayer, it is as if you have been worshiping for more than eighty-three years without interruption. It is important to organize proper nutrition during the month of Ramadan. A number of recommendations for maintaining healthy eating and gastrointestinal health: Start eating with dates. Dates are a source of carbohydrates that provide energy throughout the day during fasting. The fibers in dates regulate the functioning of the digestive tract. Additionally, dates are rich in magnesium and potassium. Drink plenty of water. Especially in hot weather, it is very important to drink enough water to keep your body hydrated. Drink enough water after breaking your fast and before saharlik to avoid thirst throughout the day. When allowed to eat, try to drink 8 glasses of water. Avoid thirst-inducing foods and products. Stay away from salty foods, canned goods, pickled cucumbers, and fish. Additionally, avoid spicy foods as they can trigger thirst. Consume more fruits and vegetables, as they replenish and hydrate the body's water reserves. Break your fast slowly and without haste. After a long period of fasting, consuming a large amount of food can be stressful for the body. Try to be moderate, start your iftar with dates and water, then you can have soup and salad. After some time, move on to the main course. Overeating can lead to digestive problems and stomach pain. Starting iftar with warm soup is the best meal after fasting, as it replenishes the body's nutrients and prepares it for heavier foods. Ensure that your meal contains all necessary nutrients. Iftar should include foods such as proteins, vegetables, grains, fruits, and healthy fats. Choose healthy foods. Your diet should include grains, cereals, chicken, lean meat, fish, olive oil, and fruits. Avoid fried, salty, and fatty foods. Meat, legumes, eggs, and dairy products are rich in protein. You should consume at least one of these food items daily. Avoid sweets. Sweets after iftar can cause gas in the stomach and disrupt digestion. Additionally, they increase blood sugar levels, which further increases the craving for sweets. Therefore, it is recommended to consume sweets 2-3 hours after iftar. Replace sweets with healthier options: dates, dried fruits, and sweet fruits. Avoid drinking coffee. Try to reduce coffee consumption during Ramadan to prevent headaches and insomnia. Have light snacks between iftar and saharlik. It is recommended to divide the main meal into three parts and have light snacks between iftar and saharlik. One-third should be complex carbohydrates, one-third lean meat or fish, and the rest should be vegetables. This will ensure a healthy balanced diet.

How should one prepare spiritually and physically for Ramadan?
How should one prepare spiritually and physically for Ramadan?
Ramadan is considered one of the holiest and most blessed months in Islam. During this month, Muslims strive to get closer to Allah, purify themselves spiritually, and increase their good deeds. Ramadan is not just about fasting, but also a unique opportunity to reform the entire being, cleanse the heart, and benefit society. Preparation for Ramadan is crucial for Muslims to fully utilize this blessed month. The preparation process includes various aspects such as spiritual, physical, social, and planning. The importance of sincerity and intention. Every Muslim entering the month of Ramadan must direct their intention to Allah and perform acts of worship solely for His pleasure. "Indeed, actions are judged by intentions" (Bukhari, Muslim). It is important to start every action with intention and to keep the heart free from showing off. Strengthening the connection with the Qur'an Ramadan is the month of the Qur'an. Therefore, during this month, it is necessary to increase the recitation of the Qur'an, read its interpretations, and strive to understand its meanings. The Qur'an is the life program for humans, and finding guidance from it and applying it to life is the duty of every Muslim. " The month of Ramadan is that in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion " (Al-Baqarah, 185). Repentance and seeking forgiveness Ramadan is the most suitable time for cleansing from sins and returning to Allah. Recognizing past mistakes, feeling regret for them, and asking Allah for forgiveness are the essential conditions of repentance. " O you who have believed, repent to Allah with sincere repentance. Perhaps your Lord will remove from you your misdeeds and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow " (At-Tahrim, 8). Supplication and plea Reaching the month of Ramadan, performing acts of worship perfectly, and seeking Allah's pleasure through supplication is important. Supplication is the weapon of the believer, through which one can call upon Allah, ask for needs, and seek help from Him. Purifying the heart Ramadan is an opportunity to cleanse the heart from ailments such as anger, envy, and pride. Developing virtues like patience, love, and compassion serves the spiritual development of a person. Strengthening health Fasting during the month of Ramadan requires physical health. Therefore, it is recommended to eat healthily, get enough sleep, and engage in light physical exercises. Preparation for fasting. Observing voluntary fasts before Ramadan helps the body to adapt to fasting. This increases the body's endurance to hunger and makes the fasting process easier. Ramadan table. It is important to choose healthy and nutritious foods for suhoor and iftar. During suhoor, one should consume foods that provide energy throughout the day, and during iftar, it is necessary to maintain moderation and avoid heavy meals. Economizing It is important not to waste food during the month of Ramadan and to plan it properly. Wastefulness is one of the actions that displeases Allah, and one should avoid it. Maintaining family ties Ramadan is a suitable time to strengthen relationships with relatives. Visiting them, inquiring about their well-being, and offering help is a form of maintaining family ties. Charity and donations The reward for giving charity and donations during the month of Ramadan is multiplied. Helping those in need and engaging in charitable work is one of the best ways to benefit society. Worshiping in congregation. Performing tarawih prayers in mosques in congregation and organizing iftars strengthens unity among Muslims. The reward for worshiping in congregation is greater than that of praying alone. Family relationships. Ramadan is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with family, engage in religious discussions, and read the Qur'an. Strengthening love and respect among family members and teaching children the beautiful teachings of Islam is one of the important duties of parents. Proper time management. It is important to manage time properly during the month of Ramadan, coordinating worship, work, and family responsibilities. Creating a daily schedule and adhering to it helps in making effective use of time. Setting goals. Setting goals during the month of Ramadan, such as completing the Qur'an, giving a certain amount of charity, or refraining from a bad habit. Setting clear goals motivates a person to take action and helps achieve results. Daily schedule for Ramadan. Allocating time for suhoor, iftar, prayer, and other acts of worship plays a significant role in creating a daily plan. Preparation for Ramadan is not only an opportunity for Muslims to perform acts of worship perfectly but also to develop themselves spiritually. Each type of preparation has its own significance, and together they strengthen a person's faith, refine their morals, and encourage them to benefit society. Challenges that may arise during the preparation process include time constraints, the negative impact of social media, and various temptations. To overcome these challenges, Muslims should train themselves to be resolute, plan their time properly, and maintain moderation in using social media. In the modern world, there are unique difficulties in observing the month of Ramadan. For example, people busy with work and study may not be able to allocate enough time for worship. In such cases, effective use of time, making short supplications, and engaging in remembrance can help fulfill acts of worship. Additionally, to avoid the negative influence of social media, it is recommended to limit their use during Ramadan or restrict oneself to reading only useful information. The personal and societal consequences of successful preparation are significant. Personally, a person's faith is strengthened, their morals are refined, and their heart finds tranquility. Societally, unity and mutual assistance among Muslims increase, charitable works develop, and blessings, peace, and tranquility prevail in society. Preparation for the month of Ramadan is of great importance for the spiritual elevation of Muslims, the development of society, and achieving the pleasure of Allah. We call upon Muslims to consider the month of Ramadan as a valuable opportunity, to utilize it effectively, and to seek the pleasure of Allah. Future research and developments on this topic can further reveal the virtues of the month of Ramadan and serve the spiritual growth of Muslims.

A pregnant woman gave birth to her child in a taxi in Tashkent
A taxi driver named Farhod Fattoyev encountered an unusual situation, as reported by Podrobno.uz. While on duty, he was taking a pregnant woman to the hospital when she gave birth in the car. Farhod has been driving for 14 years and has been working with Yandex Go for the last two years. He accepted an order as usual, but a few minutes later, he received a call: the client was a pregnant woman who needed to be taken to the hospital urgently. When Farhod arrived, the passenger and her mother-in-law got into the car. The trip was expected to take about 35 minutes, but due to traffic jams, the journey was prolonged. At the beginning of the trip, the driver encountered an unexpected situation – he heard a baby's cry from the back seat. "I didn't panic; instead, I composed myself and started thinking about how to get to the hospital as quickly as possible. The only thing that mattered was that the baby and the mother's condition were good," said the driver. Farhod saw traffic police on the road and explained the situation. They assisted the driver and followed the car, but due to the traffic jam, they couldn't go far. Nevertheless, Farhod managed to cover the distance in 20 minutes with his efforts. When they reached the hospital, it turned out that both the mother and the baby were healthy. "Hearing this news, I felt relieved and couldn't hold back my tears. I was amazed by this event for several days," he said. According to Farhod, the woman's husband and relatives were waiting for her and expressed their gratitude. "Then the baby's grandmother prayed for me. I told her, 'This child will be your favorite grandchild.' The important thing is that everything ended well," the taxi driver added. Farhod does not consider himself a hero and says that anyone in his place would have done the same. His colleagues, upon hearing about the incident, nicknamed his car "Ambulance." Yandex Uzbekistan also expressed gratitude to him. Farhod is originally from Bukhara. He is living a happy life with his family – his wife and five children.
