The Zenit team is playing based on old styles, but they are currently ineffective. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This opinion was expressed by former Saint Petersburg footballer Denis Ugarov in an interview with Euro-Football.ru. According to him, the team's coach Sergey Semak is applying unique tactical methods, but these styles do not meet modern demands.
Ugarov emphasized that the team lacks flexibility and the players are moving freely. On the same day, Zenit played a 2:2 draw away against Spartak.
Ugarov evaluated the game as interesting and entertaining, but stressed that Spartak was better prepared compared to Zenit. Currently, Zenit is in eighth place in the Premier League table after five rounds and the team has only collected six points.
In the next match, they will take the field at home against Dynamo from Makhachkala. The Zenit team is striving to improve their game and raise their results.
