Amorim: Onana may play against Arsenal

Sports02:32, 17-08-2025

Manchester United's head coach Ruben Amorim commented on the condition of goalkeeper Andre Onana. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The Cameroonian player was unable to participate in all preseason matches due to injury, but recovered before the start of the championship. The 29-year-old goalkeeper is expected to take the field in the match against Arsenal on Sunday in the first round.

If the coach prefers him over Altay Bayindir, Onana will help the team. At a press conference, Amorim said: “Will Onana play?

Like players in other positions, every player competes for a starting spot. Therefore, I cannot say who is the first choice.

Andre is ready to play, everything will be clear on Sunday,” he said. The match will start at 18:30 Moscow time.
