Former Portuguese football player Fernando Krush passed away at the age of 85 after a long illness. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The news was announced by the A Bola portal. Krush played as a right-back during his career.

He was one of the most important players of the "Benfica" team, with which he won the European Champions Cup in the 1960-61 and 1961-62 seasons. He also participated in five final matches played with "Benfica".

Krush made his debut for "Benfica" at the age of 20 and played a total of 445 matches in all competitions, scoring one goal. As a member of the Portuguese national team, he won bronze medals at the 1966 World Cup.

The footballer ended his career in the 1970-71 season with the "PSG" team. Fernando Krush is remembered in football history for his reliable defensive skills and loyalty to the team.

His death is a great loss to the sports world.
