Chinonso Offor, the forward of Kaliningrad's "Baltika" team, explained why he failed to score from two meters in the fifth round of the Russian Premier League against Moscow's "Lokomotiv." This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The incident occurred in the second half of the match when the score was 1-0 in favor of "Baltika." In an interview with the "Match TV" channel, Offor said that the ball was between his legs and he wanted to act quickly, but unfortunately, he could not strike accurately.
He emphasized that such a mistake should not happen and stated that he will try to play better in the future. At the end of the match, the "Lokomotiv" team equalized the score and returned from Kaliningrad with one point — 1-1.
Meanwhile, Aleksey Batrakov was unable to continue his goal-scoring streak and was criticized by "Baltika" head coach Andrey Talalaev after the match for time-wasting. This game was an important contest for both teams, and both sides missed opportunities.
Offor's mistake proved costly for the team, but he expressed his readiness to work on himself in the future.
