
Ruslan Litvinov, defender of Moscow “Spartak”, commented on the second goal scored against the “red-whites” in the fifth round of the Russian Premier League match against “Zenit”. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The goal was scored by former “Spartak” forward Aleksandr Sobolev. According to Litvinov, the goal was mostly due to their mistake, although Sobolev managed to deliver an accurate shot to the near corner.
Despite having four defenders around Sobolev, the team allowed him to enter the penalty area and attack. The score in the match was leveled at 2:2.
Besides Sobolev, Mateo Cassierra also scored for “Zenit”. For “Spartak”, Marquinhos and Jedson Fernandez found the net.
In the second half, “Zenit” player Douglas Santos was sent off, and his team played with ten men. Additionally, both teams missed one penalty opportunity; Cassierra and Ezequiel Barco failed to convert their penalties.
