Ten Hag keeps Bayer defender

Sports13:01, 18-08-2025

Ecuadorian defender Piero Inkapyey, who plays for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany's Bundesliga, may transfer to England. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

This was announced on social media by insider Fabrizio Romano. It became known that several clubs are interested in the 23-year-old player.

Nevertheless, Bayer does not want to let him go during the summer transfer window. The team's new head coach Erik Ten Hag has shown confidence in Inkapyey for the 2025/2026 season.

Last Bundesliga season, Piero Inkapyey appeared in 32 matches for Bayer. The defender scored two goals, provided two assists, and received eight yellow cards.

His performance on the field is considered important for the team. This may ensure that he remains with the club in the future.
