Moscow's "Spartak" and Saint Petersburg's "Zenit" teams will be punished following the match held in the fifth round of the Russian Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This was announced by Artur Grigoryants, chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Federation. According to him, fans of "Zenit" and "Spartak" chanted offensive slogans during the game.
Additionally, "Spartak" head coach Stankovich's absence from the press conference is also under consideration. The committee will also analyze the "blue-white-blue" team's coaching staff member William de Oliveira stepping outside the technical zone boundaries.
The match took place at the "Lukoil Arena" stadium and ended in a 2:2 draw. "Spartak" came close to winning in the final minutes, but midfielder Ezequiel Barco's penalty did not head towards the goal.
Based on these events, appropriate measures will be taken against the teams.
