Former "Dinamo" footballer Oleg Teryohin shared his thoughts on the problems within the "white-blue" team in an exclusive interview with the "Evro-Futbol.Ru" website. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, during the first half of the match against CSKA, the "Dinamo" team fell behind 0:3 due to their own mistakes. The game was even in the first 15 minutes, but later defensive shortcomings appeared, and the opponent scored the first and second goals.
In the first goal situation, Bityello made an incorrect pass, while the defenders were held responsible for the remaining goals. Teryohin believes that things were not bad at the start of the game, but after conceding two quick goals, the match was effectively over following the third goal.
He emphasized that Dinamo's current performance is not hopeless and that the team can still recover. When asked if Makarov’s goal reduced hope, he said that in such a game there is no room for hope.
Before the match against CSKA, Glebov said that Dinamo players would fight with all their might on the field, but Teryohin noted that he did not fully see these words in action. According to him, the players tried their best, but conceding three goals decided the outcome of the game.
He stressed that the main task for the team to get out of the crisis is to strengthen the defense. Players recently recovered from injuries will join the team soon, which will strengthen the squad.
The current squad has 14 players, which is enough for matches. Teryohin said that conceding seven goals in two games is a difficult situation and emphasized the need for a forward.
Sergeyev is good, but an additional forward is necessary. If Dinamo had scored the first goal, the game would have taken a different turn, and CSKA would have been forced to retreat.
The expert also analyzed CSKA’s game, noting that they have defensive problems as well, but they score goals and win. We will see who becomes champion in the spring; so far, Dinamo’s game is not good, but it can improve in the future.
He named Krasnodar, Zenit, Lokomotiv, and CSKA as the main competitors. Zenit currently looks weaker, but they will gather strength and have a strong squad.
He expressed confidence that Karpin will continue to lead the team until the end of the season. He signed a three-year contract, and there is no point in replacing him because the team is being rebuilt and needs time.
