Many mistakes were observed in the fifth round of the Russian Premier League matches. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The "Euro-Football.Ru" online publication decided to highlight the main players who showed poor performance during the recent weekend. Douglas Santos, a player who had been the team captain for many years and was known for his reliability in the match between Spartak and Zenit (2:2), failed this time.
Due to a significant decline in his performance over the past year, Zenit brought in the young player Veigun to replace him. Santos was on the field for 51 minutes against Spartak before being sent off.
During his time on the pitch, he lost his position twice, failed to win any aerial duels, lost the ball ten times, and committed two fouls. Sofascore rated his performance at 4.7 points, the lowest in the match.
Alexander Dyogtev, playing as goalkeeper in the match between Krasnodar and Sochi (5:1), experienced a serious failure. He was responsible for four of the five goals, twice sending the ball into his own corner and twice choosing the wrong position.
As a result, he could not save the team during the first and fourth goals. Stefan Lonchar, despite scoring his team's only goal in the match between Akron and Orenburg (1:2), changed the outcome negatively due to an own goal.
This own goal was not a simple ricochet, as Lonchar deliberately directed the ball into his own team's net. Perhaps he confused the goals.
Danil Glebov failed to meet his coach's expectations in the derby between Dinamo and CSKA (1:3). In the first half, Dinamo completely lost control of the midfield and went into halftime trailing by three goals.
Glebov avoided contesting with opponents, allowed opposing players to pass during one goal, and did not assist Matvey. Additionally, he lost the ball nine times.
Maksim Osipenko was responsible for the team's failure in the match between Dinamo and CSKA (1:3). According to Dinamo's head coach Valery Karpin, only their team was on the field during the first 15 minutes, but an awkward pass from Osipenko to Bittelo disrupted all plans.
Bittelo made a mistake on the next pass, which led to Alves' goal. Osipenko later failed to support his teammates several times and could not make interesting forward moves.
