Former Zenit footballer Andrey Nikolaev spoke about the main problem of the Saint Petersburg club this season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In his opinion, the Zenit team is currently playing very slowly, and this is the main difficulty for the team. Nikolaev emphasized that head coach Sergey Semak should primarily focus on improving the team's play and movements, rather than on who to field.
The specialist said this in an interview with the publication Sport Den za Dnyom. Additionally, Nikolaev shared his thoughts on Zenit's striker Aleksandr Sobolev's performance.
He noted that Sobolev fulfilled his duties well by scoring a goal in the match against Spartak. Currently, Zenit is in ninth place in the Russian Premier League with six points after five rounds.
The team's coaches and players need to work seriously to improve the results.
