Olivier Giroud, the oldest goal scorer in Lille's history

As we previously reported, after returning to the French championship, Olivier Giroud scored a goal in his first match for Lille. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

He set a new club record by playing and scoring at the age of 38 years and 321 days. This achievement is the highest for the "Dogs" team in the French championship.

The previous record was set in November 2022. At that time, José Fonte achieved this result at the age of 38 years and 319 days, being only two days younger than Giroud.
