Former USSR and Russian national team midfielder Aleksandr Mostovoy shared his thoughts about striker Fyodor Smolov in an interview with the publication Euro-Football.Ru. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, Smolov's problem is that if his salary were as high as it was twenty years ago, he would still be actively playing on the field with strong determination. Now, however, being financially secure, he might think, "I don't need much."
Mostovoy also emphasized that in earlier times, players used to joke with each other and were ready to play on the field as long as their health allowed and their knees did not give out. Currently, 35-year-old Smolov is active as a free agent.
At the same time, he will take the field for the Broke Boys media team against Avangard in the 2nd round of the Russian Cup within the regional path.
