Balaxnin: Rubin is not in the top three this season

Sergey Balakhnin, former coach of Russia and the national team coach, explained in an interview with the website "Euro-Football.Ru" that he does not see the "Rubin" team as a contender for prize-winning places this season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

He emphasized that he respects the "Rubin" team, but said that the current squad is not sufficient to claim a top-three position. According to Balakhnin, the "Spartak" team is strengthening, and CSKA and "Zenit" are also working on improving their performances.

These teams will reach a high level, but "Rubin" is still not a top-level team. Currently, "Rubin" is in fourth place in the Russian championship standings.

The Kazan team has lost only one game, which was against CSKA with a score of 1:5. The team has 10 points.

According to Balakhnin, "Rubin" will need to put in additional effort to strengthen, as competitors are improving their squads. Therefore, at this time, "Rubin" is not a main candidate for the top prizes.
