Former Lokomotiv president Olga Smorodskaya responded to the question of whether buying Ilya Samoshnikov will help Spartak enter the top three of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Stankovich's departure from the team will help improve Spartak's situation, but the acquisition of Samoshnikov will not contribute to this, she emphasized. Earlier, Spartak officially announced the transfer of Samoshnikov from Lokomotiv.

A contract with the player has been signed until 2028. The team led by Stankovich will play their next match on August 23.
