Smorodskaya: Samoshnikov will not bring Spartak to a medal

Sports14:23, 23-08-2025

Former Lokomotiv president Olga Smorodskaya responded to the question of whether buying Ilya Samoshnikov will help Spartak enter the top three of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In her opinion, a single player cannot have a significant impact on the team's results. More serious changes are necessary in the club.

Stankovich's departure from the team will help improve Spartak's situation, but the acquisition of Samoshnikov will not contribute to this, she emphasized. Earlier, Spartak officially announced the transfer of Samoshnikov from Lokomotiv.

A contract with the player has been signed until 2028. The team led by Stankovich will play their next match on August 23.

In the sixth round of the RPL, Spartak's opponent will be Rubin. This match is of great importance in determining the team's success this season.

The team and fans are currently striving for victory.
