The Newcastle team has bought striker Nik Voltemadeni from Stuttgart club for 90 million euros. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
During the summer, Bayern tried to add the German footballer to their squad, but they could not agree on the contract terms with Stuttgart. In the last days of the transfer window, the 23-year-old striker attracted interest from Newcastle, who made a much more favorable offer.
The Stuttgart team did not miss this opportunity. The transfer price, including bonuses, amounts to 90 million euros.
Bayern's sports director Max Eberl said: “I don’t know if this transfer is a strategic or urgent decision, because Isak is going to Liverpool. The situations in the Premier League are not important to us.
The truth is, big money is being paid there and will continue to be paid. We follow our own strategy – to act wisely and create a team capable of succeeding domestically and internationally.” If the rumors are to be believed, Munich club offered less than 70 million euros for Nik Voltemade.
