
Konstantin Zyryanov commented on his appointment as the head of the Saint Petersburg "Zenit" football club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that the goals set by the club's board of directors align with his own objectives. According to Zyryanov, the main task is to bring the championship title back to the team.
Previously, Zyryanov played as a midfielder for the clubs "Amkar" (Perm), "Torpedo" (Moscow), and "Zenit". He also appeared in 51 matches for the Russian national team, scoring seven goals.
In 2024-2025, Zyryanov served as an advisor to Zenit's chairman Aleksandr Medvedev. Now they have swapped positions, with Zyryanov moving to the chairman role.
