Oleg Malyishev, the CEO of the capital's Spartak club, commented on the plans of the Uzbekistan Ministry of Sports to tighten the limit on foreign football players. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that the ideas related to nurturing young footballers are correct, but now it is necessary to act based on clear decisions. According to previously announced information, the number of foreign players included in the club's roster for the season will be reduced from 13 to 10.
The number of legionnaires on the field is planned to be reduced from 8 to 5. These changes will be implemented gradually.
It should be especially noted that this limit does not apply to players from the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, including Armenia, Belarus, and other countries. This decision is considered an important step aimed at the development of the country's football and supporting young talents.
