Tarkhanov: There is doubt about Cordoba's expulsion

Football expert Aleksandr Tarkhanov shared his thoughts on the draw match between CSKA and Krasnodar in an exclusive interview with the online publication Euro-Football.Ru. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, at the beginning of the game, the teams played cautiously, but then the match started to heat up. Although CSKA scored a goal, it was not counted.

Also, Krasnodar's goal was not recognized as valid. In the second half, the game slowed down a bit.

After Cordoba got injured, Krasnodar mainly played defensively, and CSKA struggled to break through the opponent's defense. Tarkhanov expressed doubts about Cordoba's sending off.

He acted dangerously but did not intentionally harm Moises. The collision was superficial.

However, since the situation was dangerous, the referees decided to send him off. VAR was not even reviewed.

According to the expert, Cordoba's sending off did not benefit CSKA because free zones decreased and attacking became more difficult. The "Army Men" played more cautiously, mainly stopping the opponent's attacks due to their tall central defenders.

Nevertheless, the home team had chances to score, but Krasnodar's goalkeeper Agkatsev saved them. CSKA's failure to keep the opponent under pressure equated to missing the opportunity to win at home.

According to the expert, CSKA lost two points and had the victory in their hands. Krasnodar is currently leading the competition table and went into the break as leaders.

Tarkhanov did not emphasize that this team is the strongest at the moment. He mentioned that CSKA, Lokomotiv, and Baltika are also showing good performances.

Especially, the Kaliningrad team has a good squad and is demonstrating strong play. Time will show how long they maintain the lead.

CSKA is currently in fourth place in the competition table. Tarkhanov believes the competition is still in its early stages and there is a large group fighting for the gold medals.
