“Liverpool” may complete two more major deals on the last day of the summer transfer window. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The club has reached an agreement to buy Newcastle striker Alexander Isak for 150 million euros. Additionally, “Liverpool” is also close to bringing defender Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.
His price is expected to exceed approximately 40 million euros. Thus, if the acquisitions of Isak and Guehi are completed, “Liverpool” will set a record for the amount spent on players in a single transfer window.
Currently, the club has spent about 340 million euros on new players. The most expensive transfer is Florian Wirtz, who was bought from Bayer for 125 million euros.
So far, the record belongs to “Chelsea,” who spent about 450 million euros on transfers in the summer of 2023. These figures clearly demonstrate Liverpool’s activity in transfer policy and give an idea of the club’s future plans.
