The seventh round matches of the Russian Premier League fully occupied the weekend and did not extend for four days. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The reason is that all championships have a break for national team matches, so it was important to conclude the seventh round matches on Sunday. The popular sports publication "Euro-Football.Ru" highlighted the main shortcomings in the latest matches of the Russian Premier League.
Aleksey Gritsayenko harmed the "Rubin" team with his mistake in the "Orenburg" vs "Rubin" match. In the 70th minute, a penalty was awarded because the ball touched the Kazan defender's hand.
When the score was 2:1, Jordi Thompson successfully converted the penalty, and Vladimir Slishkovich's team gained one point. Daniil Lesovoy played strong defense in the first half of the "Zenit" vs "Pari NN" match, but at the beginning of the second half, he allowed the opponent's quick goal.
In the 47th minute, Douglas Santos opened the scoring with a powerful shot. Lesovoy was not active enough in defense, allowing the opponent to freely pass the ball.
After this goal, it became difficult for the team to make a comeback against "Zenit". Vyacheslav Litvinov defended well in the "Spartak" vs "Sochi" match, but an incident in extra time harmed his team.
He fouled Anton Zabolotny on the field, causing a penalty to be awarded. Ezequiel Barco successfully converted the penalty, and "Sochi" lost 1:2.
Nikolay Komlichenko entered the field in the 68th minute of the "Lokomotiv" vs "Krylya Sovetov" match, but in extra time, he handled the ball in his own penalty area. A penalty was awarded for this, and Rakov scored precisely.
The match ended in a 2:2 draw. Komlichenko will miss the next game due to receiving a second yellow card.
Igor Leshuk scored the only goal in the derby between "Dinamo" Moscow and "Dinamo" at the 74th minute. He received the ball in an ideal position and deceived Leshuk.
Leshuk, however, stopped halfway instead of reaching the ball after coming out of the goal. If he had reached the ball, there would have been a greater chance to save his team.
Thus, the match ended with a score of 1:0. Author: Dmitriy Milyaev
