Masalitin: Lukin should play in CSKA's starting lineup

Former footballer Valeriy Masalitin shared his thoughts about the competition for the starting lineup spot between CSKA's two central defenders — Matvey Lukin and Joao Viktor. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, after CSKA signed a new defender, Matvey was once again playing from the bench. This was a disappointing situation for him because he lost the chance to prove himself again.

Masalitin believes that Lukin deserves to play in the starting lineup since he has not made any mistakes and has shown good performance. The expert also expressed surprise at the decision made by head coach Fabio Celestini in the match against Krasnodar.

The team's head coach gave the Brazilian defender the opportunity to play in the starting lineup. Currently, CSKA is in second place in the competition table with 15 points.

The team's main goal is to maintain the top positions and continue to achieve successful results in upcoming matches.
