Igor Fedotov, who has worked as a referee in Russian championship matches, evaluated the performance of referee Ivan Abrosimov in the match between Moscow's “Spartak” and “Sochi” teams. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This match corresponded to the 7th round of the Russian Premier League, with “Spartak” winning 2:1. In the 15th minute of the game, Abrosimov showed a red card to “Spartak” player Nail Umyarov.
According to Fedotov, this decision was unjustified, as Umyarov did not intentionally harm the opponent but was only contesting the ball. In the final minutes of the game, the referee did not award a penalty that should have been given to “Sochi”.
In this situation, Fedotov also emphasized the referee's lack of courage. Currently, “Spartak” is in sixth place in the competition table with 11 points, while “Sochi” is in last place, sixteenth, with 1 point.
Fedotov's assessments draw attention to certain shortcomings in refereeing activities and indicate the need for referees to make their decisions more fair and precise in the future.
