Semshov: The red card given to Cordoba was wrong

Former Russian national team player Igor Semshov commented on the sending off of Krasnodar club forward John Cordoba during the 7th round match of the Russian Premier League against Moscow CSKA. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to Semshov, the referee disrupted the game and should have given Cordoba a yellow card. It would have been understandable if it was a second yellow card, but showing a red card immediately was a wrong decision.

The match took place at the VEB Arena stadium and ended in a 1-1 draw. Although Cordoba scored for Krasnodar, he left the field in the 56th minute.

Currently, after the 7th round of the Premier League, Krasnodar is in first place in the standings with 16 points, while CSKA is in second place with 15 points.
