Purple: Cordoba red card was unfairly given

Former defender of the Moscow “Spartak” team Eduard Mor shared his opinion about the incident in which “Krasnodar” forward Jon Cordoba received a red card in the match against CSKA. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

He emphasized that in the 56th minute, the Colombian player carelessly kicked the ball at CSKA defender Roberto Moyzes and hit the opponent's hand with his toenails. According to Mor, Cordoba did not deserve to be sent off in this match.

He said that Cordoba sometimes crosses the line but always plays with full commitment. According to the expert, Cordoba is advised to be a bit more cautious, but in this case, giving a red card was not fair.

Earlier, it was reported that the “Krasnodar” team submitted an appeal to cancel Cordoba's red card. In the seventh round of the Russian Premier League match between “Krasnodar” and CSKA, the score was tied 1:1, and in this very match, the Colombian player was the sole goal scorer for the “Krasnodar” team.
