
Four Four Two magazine compiled a ranking of the best coaches in history who have never won the Champions League. Euro-football.ru reported on this.
At the top of this list is Diego Simeone, who managed Atlético for nearly 15 years. Under Simeone, the "mattress makers" reached the Champions League final twice but were defeated by Real Madrid in 2014 and 2016.
In second place is Arsène Wenger, who managed Arsenal from 1996 to 2018. Under his leadership, the "Gunners" lost to Barcelona in the 2006 Champions League final.
The third place is held by Valeriy Lobanovskyi, who passed away in 2002. Following positions include famous coaches such as Bobby Robson, Massimiliano Allegri, Mauricio Pochettino, Mircea Lucescu, Kenny Dalglish, Otto Rehhagel, Didier Deschamps, Unai Emery, and Antonio Conte.
These coaches came close to winning the Champions League trophy but were unable to achieve this goal. Their careers hold great significance in football history, and their successes and experiences contributed to the development of the coaching art.
