Manchester City confirms Gundogan transfer

Manchester City has officially confirmed that midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has transferred to Istanbul's Galatasaray club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

He signed a two-year contract. Ilkay Gundogan is 34 years old and has played for Manchester City twice.

The first time he joined in 2016 from Borussia Dortmund. In 2023, he moved to Barcelona, but in the summer of 2024, he reunited with Josep Guardiola at City.

His new team Galatasaray is the most decorated club in Turkey and has been the national champion for the last three seasons. This season, Galatasaray will participate in the Champions League.

Ilkay Gundogan previously expressed his happiness to play in the place considered his historic homeland. He is a footballer of German-Turkish descent.
