Manchester United considered bringing Welbeck back
Manchester United has considered the possibility of transferring Brighton striker Danny Welbeck. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Red Devils significantly renewed their attacking line this summer. High-priced players such as Mateus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko joined the team.
Other players could also have been added to the Manchester squad. According to journalist Laurie Whitwell, the club studied the Welbeck candidate, who previously played at Old Trafford.
However, the unexpected return did not happen, and the 34-year-old striker continues to play for Brighton. Danny Welbeck is a Manchester United academy graduate.
In 2014, he was sold to Arsenal for 20 million euros. Since 2020, he has been playing for Brighton.
The Transfermarkt portal estimates his current market value at 5 million euros. Welbeck is an experienced player who has played for several major clubs during his professional career.
His addition to the team could have further strengthened the attacking line, but currently, he continues his career at Brighton.
