The head coach of the Russian youth national team, Ivan Shabarov, shared his thoughts on the call-ups of his team players to the main national team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, if players join the main team, it means they are on the right path. If others are called up as well, it will only be a joyful situation for the team.
Shabarov's words were cited by “Match TV.” Although the Russian youth national team was unable to participate in the qualifying matches this year, they played four friendly matches.
They played two games against the Colombian national team, with results of 0:1 and 2:2. Additionally, they faced the Uzbekistan youth team twice, winning with scores of 3:0 and 6:3.
Furthermore, on September 5 and 8, the team led by Shabarov will face the Saudi Arabia youth national team in Khimki, near Moscow. The Saudi Arabia youth team is the Asian Championship winner, with their latest championship year being 2022.
These matches will be an important experience for the youth national team and will serve as preparation for future competitions.
