Manchester United failed to acquire Carlos Baleba from Brighton this summer, but there is a possibility of signing another midfielder in January to strengthen the squad. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to journalist Miguel Dileyin, Manchester United, the "Red Devils," are considering purchasing 21-year-old Belgian footballer Romeo Lavia from Chelsea. Lavia is seen as a replacement for Baleba, as Brighton does not plan to sell Baleba anytime soon.
Negotiations regarding Lavia could begin during the winter transfer window opening in January. According to Transfermarkt, the value of the Chelsea player is estimated at 40 million euros.
His current contract with the "Blues" is valid until 2030. Therefore, Manchester United is preparing to complete the transfer of Lavia in January to strengthen the midfield.
This decision is considered important for the team's future success.
