New Inter player Manuel Akanji shared his thoughts about leaving Manchester City. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The Swiss defender has been playing for the Citizens since 2022. Akanji said that he and his family felt very comfortable in Manchester, but emphasized that he has no regrets.

He expressed his eagerness for the new challenge at Inter. Unfortunately, he has not yet had the chance to say goodbye to Manchester City, but he hopes to do so over lunch together.

Such an opportunity is not easy due to a busy schedule. It is important for the player to say farewell to all team members, Akanji said in an interview with Sport Witness.

In the last transfer window, Inter took the 30-year-old defender on loan from Manchester City. The loan fee amounted to 1.5 million euros.

If the player appears in at least half of the matches this season, the Milan club will be obliged to buy him for 15 million euros.
