Sergey Semak, head coach of the St. Petersburg "Zenit" team, expressed his opinion about the possible strengthening of the limit on foreign players in the Russian championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, increasing restrictions will not have a positive impact on the development of football. According to Semak, such changes will reduce the competitiveness of the team, especially in participation in European cups.

Earlier, there were reports that the limit on the number of foreign players would be reduced to five on the field and ten in the team roster. Currently, after seven rounds of the Russian championship, the "Zenit" team has collected 12 points and is in fifth place in the tournament table.
