Former Russian footballer Vitaliy Dyakov shared his thoughts on the situation of foreign players at the Zenit team in Saint Petersburg. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In his opinion, the team may have some unique talented players, such as Kislyak, Glebov, or Batrakov. However, there is no wide opportunity to observe their performances, as mainly players like Pedro and Luciano take the field.
According to Dyakov, other talented players participate in only a few matches throughout the season. Additionally, under the leadership of head coach Sergey Semak, Zenit has shown the worst start in the Russian championship over the past decade.
Currently, after seven rounds, the team has collected 12 points and stands fifth in the league table. In the last two rounds, Zenit recorded two home victories.
They defeated the Makhachkala team Dinamo 4-0 and won against Nizhny Novgorod's Pari NN 2-0. These results helped improve the team's performance this season.
