Mostovoy: A draw with Jordan means nothing
Former Russian national team player Aleksandr Mostovoy commented on the results of the BetBoom match between the Russian and Jordanian national teams held in Moscow on September 4. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, neither team was able to score during the 90 minutes of the game, and the match ended in a 0:0 draw. Mostovoy emphasized that the draw with Jordan means nothing, as such results are insignificant since the team has not been participating in international competitions.
He also criticized coach Valery Karpin's work and stressed that it is not advisable for him to perform several tasks simultaneously. According to the expert, the Jordanian national team matches the level of Russian players.
It is worth noting that since February 2022, the Russian national team and local clubs have been banned from international competitions organized by FIFA and UEFA. These restrictions are still in effect.
