Germany national team lost for the third time

The Germany national team had an unsuccessful start in the qualification stage for the 2026 World Cup. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In the match, they unexpectedly lost 0-2 away to Slovakia. The team led by Julián Nagelsmann conceded one goal in each half, specifically in the 42nd and 55th minutes.

The visitors controlled the ball 70% of the time and had twice as many shots on goal, with 14 attempts compared to 8, but they failed to score. This defeat was the third consecutive loss for the Germany national team.

Previously, they lost to Portugal (1-2) and France (0-2) in matches within the European League in June. Julián Nagelsmann has been the head coach of the Germany national team since September 2023, and his contract is valid until the summer of 2028.

The national team needs to improve its performance in the qualification stage to secure a spot in the World Cup.
