Inter gave up on Ilkay Gundogan transfer

Ilkay Gundogan could have played in the Italian championship in the new season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Manchester City was not counting much on the 34-year-old player, so he was looking for a new club before the transfer window closed. According to famous journalist Fabrizio Romano, Gundogan's services were offered to Milan's Inter club.

The experienced midfielder could have joined Inter as a free agent, but the major Serie A club gave up on this deal because they had recently bought 22-year-old midfielder Andi Djufo for 20 million euros. Later, on September 2, it was officially announced that Ilkay Gundogan had transferred to Turkey's Galatasaray club.

This transfer opened a new chapter in the player's career, and he aims to prove himself in the new team. Galatasaray, in turn, added the experienced player to their squad to strengthen their lineup.
