Russian national team defender Danil Krugovoy discussed the match against Jordan (0:0) and the upcoming friendly match against the Qatar team in an exclusive interview with the Euro-Football.Ru network publication. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, in the match against Jordan, the team allowed many chances in their own goal during the first half and made numerous mistakes. As a result, the opposing team had many opportunities.
In the second half, the team reorganized and refreshed the game, which showed that the opponent was getting tired. Danil Krugovoy mentioned that it was the first time in three years that the Russian national team failed to score a goal, but he does not consider this situation as hopeless.
He emphasized that the team always wants to win and score as many goals as possible, but sometimes luck also plays an important role. In recent years, the Russian national team has played many matches against Asian Confederation teams.
He evaluated the Jordanian team as a good opponent and stressed that such strong sparring is beneficial. He recalled the matches against Jordan and Nigeria as some of the toughest games.
