Alexander Povoroznyuk, president of the Ukrainian club "Ingulets," sharply criticized Andriy Shevchenko, the head of the Ukrainian Football Association. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Povoroznyuk, such poor results and organizational problems have never been seen before during Shevchenko's leadership. He stated that the Ukrainian women's national team could not participate in an official match because they did not receive visas on time.
Furthermore, Ukrainian teams are not participating at all in the UEFA Champions League competition. In the UEFA ranking, Russia is ahead of Ukraine, even though Russian teams are also not playing.
Povoroznyuk also emphasized that Shevchenko receives an annual salary of three million euros in his position, which is happening during military actions and conflict. It was also noted that, according to the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League qualifying results, none of the Ukrainian teams advanced to the main tournament.
This situation is a serious problem for the country's football and requires urgent reforms. All responsible persons must effectively fulfill their duties for the development of football.
