Portuguese specialist Jose Mourinho has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the Fenerbahce team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The prestigious Turkish club's press service announced this. According to the club's statement, they express gratitude to Jose Mourinho for his contribution to the team and wish him success in his future endeavors.
The 62-year-old coach had been leading Fenerbahce since July 2024. Last season, the team finished second in the Turkish championship.
On August 27, 2024, Fenerbahce lost away to Benfica, and based on the two matches (0:0, 0:1), missed the opportunity to advance to the main stage of the Champions League. The club management parted ways with the coach and began the search for a new head coach.
New goals have been set for the team, aiming to continue achieving successful results.
