Dutch specialist Erik Ten Hag has been dismissed from his position as head coach of Bayer Leverkusen. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The club's press service provided this information. It is worth recalling that Ten Hag started working as the team's head coach in May, replacing Spanish coach Xabi Alonso.
He had signed a two-year contract with the German club. Under Ten Hag's leadership, Leverkusen played two matches in the German championship.
The team lost to Hoffenheim and drew with Bremen's Werder. After two rounds of the German championship, Bayer has collected one point and is in 14th place in the standings.
The club management was not satisfied with the results and decided to terminate the contract with the head coach.
