The Besiktas club has announced the end of cooperation with head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Turkish team will not participate in the main stage of the Eurocups for the first time in many years. The Istanbul team lost 1-2 on aggregate in the two-legged Conference League playoff against Switzerland's Lausanne club.
After losing the home leg 0-1, Besiktas' press service announced the dismissal of the Norwegian coach. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was appointed head coach of Besiktas in January of this year.
Previously, he managed England's Manchester United club. The club's management stated that the contract with the coach was terminated to lead the team to new successes.
The team is currently searching for a new head coach and aims to improve its performance in the future.
