Paris Saint-Germain's wing-back Ousmane Dembele was injured during a match while playing for the French national team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The head coach of the match, Didier Deschamps, only brought him onto the field during the game's break, but he could not prevent the player, who is expected to win the Ballon d'Or, from getting injured. Dembele was substituted in the 81st minute.
It was later revealed that he suffered an injury to the back muscles of his knee, and therefore he was forced to return early from the national team. The Paris club was very dissatisfied with the news about this injury.
According to the Le Parisien publication, club representatives asked the national team coaches not to field Ousmane in the match against Ukraine because the player was tired and at high risk of injury. However, Deschamps and his assistants did not take this request into account.
The Paris team considered this disrespectful and unreasonable. This situation has intensified conflicts between the club and the national team.
It is emphasized that Dembele's injury may negatively affect his future performances.
