French national team footballer and Paris Saint-Germain club member Ousmane Dembele will not play in the upcoming match. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The 28-year-old winger came on as a substitute at the beginning of the second half in the match against the Ukraine national team but could not complete the game. In the 81st minute, national team coach Didier Deschamps was forced to replace him due to injury.
After the match, the coach announced that Dembele left the national team base due to a muscle injury at the back of his knee. The game ended with a 2-0 victory for the French national team.
The goals were scored by Michael Olise and Kylian Mbappe in the 10th and 82nd minutes respectively. In the next match, on September 9, France will host the Iceland national team.
