Frenkie de Jong will not be able to play due to injury
The press service of the Barcelona team issued an official statement on their social media pages about Frenkie de Jong's injury. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The Netherlands national team midfielder was injured during the World Cup qualifying match against the Poland national team. "Frenkie de Jong sustained a minor injury to the external collateral ligament of his right leg.

His return to the field depends on the recovery process," the "blaugrana" team statement noted. Earlier, Barcelona's head coach Hans-Dieter Flick stated before the Champions League match against Newcastle that he does not want to risk one of the team's leaders.

For this reason, Frenkie de Jong will miss the next La Liga match. In the fourth round of the La Liga competition, Barcelona will face Valencia on September 14.

The match will start at 22:00 Moscow time.
