It has been announced that star forward Cristiano Ronaldo will not represent the "Al-Nasr" team in the away match against Iran's "Esteghlal" within the framework of the AFC Champions League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The 40-year-old footballer was not included in the squad for this match, as announced by the Saudi club on social media. Based on the recommendation of the security service, it was deemed appropriate that Cristiano Ronaldo does not participate in the match taking place in Tehran.

This decision was made to prevent large gatherings of fans. During his previous visit to the Iranian capital, mass disturbances occurred on the streets.

The match between "Esteghlal" and "Al-Nasr" teams will take place on Monday, March 3. It is also known that "Al-Nasr" has considered holding the match at a different time without Ronaldo's participation.

This situation is being implemented by the club and security agencies to ensure the team's stability and the safety of the fans.
