Kairat entered the history of the Champions League

The draw for the Champions League group stage was held on Thursday. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

For the first time in history, Kazakhstan's "Kairat" team, which qualified for the main stage, has determined its opponents. They are the clubs "Real", "Inter", "Brugge", "Arsenal", "Olympiacos", "Sporting", "Pafos", and "Copenhagen".

"Kairat" will play an away match against Lisbon's "Sporting" team. The Kazakh players will have to travel approximately 7000 kilometers to get to Lisbon.

This is a record in the history of the Champions League, as no team has previously traveled such a long distance. This fact was specially highlighted by the Total Football publication.

The date of the match between "Sporting" and "Kairat" is not yet known. UEFA is expected to announce the match schedule in the coming days.

Additionally, the teams "Real" and "Barcelona" have also learned their opponents. The Champions League draw results were determined in this way.
