Ranieri: Roma did not sell an expensive player for Sancho

He commented on the fact that no contract was signed with Jadon Sancho. Last summer, the Romans tried to bring the Manchester United winger to their squad, but they were unable to reach an agreement.

As a result, the English footballer was loaned out to Aston Villa. According to Ranieri, in order to sign Sancho, they would have had to sell an expensive player, but the club wanted to keep its best players.

Despite the high financial costs, if coach Gasperini had been firmly determined, the owners would have completed the deal. The Transfermarkt portal estimates Jadon Sancho's value at 28 million euros.
